Secure the date with 20% of the tour price. The balance is charged 7 days before the tour. Nothing is charged until the guide has confirmed your itinerary in writing.
Locals China runs every tour itself with its own licensed guides and drivers, and books hotels, tables and tickets directly. There are no partner agencies or marketplace operators between you and us. If a guide falls ill, another member of our team in that city takes the tour, or we refund in full.
After every tour the traveller receives the same Trustpilot invitation, automatically, whether or not the day went well (Trustpilot's invite-all rule). We never write, edit or pay for reviews. Guides reply publicly. We link to, but never copy, reviews on other platforms.
WhatsApp line 09:00–22:00 China time on tour days. Local Chinese networks block WhatsApp, so use a travel eSIM; we also reply by email.
